OIL ROOM, by Per Barclay.

“Oil room” series begin in the early 80s of the 20th century and continue until today as a crucial part of the famous norwegian artist’s work: these large format photographs portray spaces whose floors were covered with black oil and so mirror the surrounding space.

This practice, central to his work, inspired Per Barclay to propose a large format installation, with a black oil surface in Carpintarias de Lázaro thatcovers the floor, creating a large mirror that reflects the iconic grid windows from the facade into the space.
