Artist Residencies at Carpintarias de São Lázaro

Carpintarias de São Lázaro Cultural Centre promotes AiR   Carpintarias artist residency of Visual Arts since 2018.

This residence, which in 2020 took place for the third consecutive   year, aims to connect the multicultural community near Carpintarias   to the Cultural Center and contemporary art. The leitmotif underlying   this residency is the idea and reflection about the concept of   community. What is a 'community' and how is it created; how can we   build a 'community' through contemporary art?
